Replaced the water inlet spout which was cracked and spraying water outside of the drum. Read more
I removed and inspected the lid magnet. It had a 1/8" layer of corrosion. I removed the layer of corrosion and reinstalled the part. the symptom improved. That was a stop-gap repair until the new lid magnet arrived. The broken rubber isolators were discovered when I removed the top of the washing machine. Read more
I ordered the motor, and followed the instructions. Splicing the included wire and taking out the fuse. Washer works fine now. I didn't have the installation tool, but I used a socket that fit over the bottom of the motor shaft and put the belt on. Read more
Changed the pressure switch. Second time I've done it on this machine. I assume that the quality of original parts on appliances these days are garbage. Very easy fix and if the washer is still working in a year or so I'll be doing this again. Read more
Replaced transmission, all seals, and dampers. It is a complicated, messy repair but costs much less than replacing the machine. This is the second tranny I have put in the 30 year old machine and now it works like new. Take the time to replace all seals if you do this repair. No use putting a new tranny in with old seals that will crack. Read more

After disassembling the washer by removing the control panel and the top (top loader), a small tear in the shower fill nozzle was detected. Appliance Parts Pros had a replacement funnel shower head in stock, and it shipped that afternoon. Read more
