Over time, the control board can become inoperable, causing the washer not to turn on or work efficiently. If the washer is no longer spinning, rinsing, or draining properly, it might be time for a new control board. Luckily, replacing the control board is a simple process.To replace the control board, make sure the washer is unplugged. Pull the washer out to gain access to the upper back panel of the appliance. Remove the upper back panel and locate the old control board. Take note of the orientation of the wires with a phone camera. Remove the wire harness and individual wires. Connect the wires to the new control board in the correct order. Snap the control board back into its original place and reinstall the top panel of the dryer.This genuine replacement control board is compatible with LG brand washing machines.
