Replaced transmission, all seals, and dampers. It is a complicated, messy repair but costs much less than replacing the machine. This is the second tranny I have put in the 30 year old machine and now it works like new. Take the time to replace all seals if you do this repair. Missing plastic clip on lid switch was the problem. Replaced plastic clip, washer operates good as new. Pliers are needed to seat the plastic piece securely onto the lid switch. Read more

The video was very helpful. the hardest part is getting off old rusted parts. I had to use a hacksaw to remove one of the old clamps. I had to open the bottom of the washing machine to remove of the other clamp. Putting the new parts on was easy. Getting everything apart was a challenge. Putting the new parts on was an easy 5 minute job. Read more

Found a crack in timer knob, where it slides over timer. Ordered new timer knob, pulled off old knob and slid on new knob. Works as new now. Read more
