Loosened bolts on the motor, slid it back r & r belt, tensioned belt by using long pry bar for leverage against motor housing, snugged up bolts, and reinstalled rear cover. Spins out clothes much better, less drying time. Washing action improved, all for an $8 part. Replaced inlet hose washers and screens while the unit was out from the wall too. Read more

Missing plastic clip on lid switch was the problem. Replaced plastic clip, washer operates good as new. Pliers are needed to seat the plastic piece securely onto the lid switch. Read more
By GE. 4 Port. Used on many GE and Hot Point washers. Check by washer model number to be sure.
Purchased new pump and replaced failed one. Followed suggestions from other customer--removed 4 hoses, then 3 screws, then flex connection to pump at pump only [leaving motor side attached]. Installation went well--although new pump was thicker at one screw so the old screw has only 2 thread engagement. Original hoses are 15 years old, stiffened with age. One leaked initially after installing it on the new pump, and I had to work on the hose/pump fitting attachment, and move the clamp further... Read more
