This genuine OEM part is a washer lid. The washer lid is the main piece that covers the washer. Over time, a washer lid can become damaged to the point where it no longer closes securely. If the washer lid is no longer closing all the way or is severely cracked or damaged, it will need to be replaced. To replace this part, start by making sure the washer is unplugged. After it has been powered off, proceed to take a putty knife to lift to release the two retaining clips that secure the washer's main top. Once released, proceed to remove the lid lock assembly wire connector. Fully remove the main top and set it upside down. Release the tension on the lid springs and detach the springs from the main top and hinge bars. Using a Phillips head screwdriver, remove the screws that secure the hinge bars to the lid. Push the hinge bars through the bearings then twist the bars to remove them. This will separate the lid from the main top. Take the new lid and align it with the main top. Insert the hinge bar between the main top and bearing while threading the screws to secure the new top. Reinstall the top panel and connect the wire harness. This replacement part is sourced directly from the manufacturer and is compatible with Frigidaire, Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Westinghouse brand washers.

The most common reason to replace the bezel and cover console assembly is if it has become cracked or otherwise damaged.First, pull out the dishwasher and make sure it has been unplugged. While the dishwasher is out from under the cabinetry, disconnect the door springs so the door can be removed. The inner and outer panels and hinges will need to be separated to access the bezel and cover control assembly. Remove this entire part and slowly replace it using the new component. Work slowly to avoid damaging the plastic tabs. Once this part has been installed, reassemble the rest of the dishwasher. Reconnect power and push the appliance back in before use.The bezel and cover console assembly is designed to replace the original on General Electric dishwashers. It's sold as a single part. This is an authentic OEM component that has been directly sourced from the manufacturer.
