I ordered a new Panel/Facia and bought replacement buttons just to be safe. All were pretty easy, but two things to BE CAREFUL about that are important. First, watch the videos about how to remove and replace the facia panel because if you do it improperly you will easily break the plastic tabs and be screwed. The hardest part of this repair was a) realizing that the easiest way to clean the oven door pieces is to remove the whole door and b) figuring out how to put the oven door back on. Doing (b) is infinitely easier if you stick two allen wrenches into the holes in the door hinge, but these holes ONLY appear when the door is fully open. I went on appliancepartspros.com to order glass. Glass arrived but didn't fit. Turns out GE has different part # system that i (of course) didn't know. Called appliancepartspros.com they informed me how this happened and how they would correct it by sending out the correct glass with another order. They would refund my previous order upon return of the glass. They were very responsive, but this shouldn't have happened! Installation was easy, and the oven is good to go. Read more
