Christopher M Barboursville , VA June 03, 2015 Stove top would not turn off I replaced the infinite control switch. Took 2-3 minutes to remove the screws and stove backing, another 5 minutes to disconnect and reconnect the wires, then another 2-3 minutes to re-secure the switch and backing to the stove. Highly recommend that you confirm the specific switch model number before ordering. Robert C San Antonio , TX December 04, 2017 Appliance: General Electric Electric Range ABS300J3WW The 8 inch burner would not turn off had to unplug appliance it melted terminal block I ordered new burner. New terminal block and new switch. Unplug appliance. Removed switch panel. Had 6 star screws and two Philips head screws. Removed switch and remember to keep all screws because you need to reuse them. Also suggest taking a picture of wiring so you remember were to plug them back in on switch. All in all. It's a very easy fix. You can save yourself literally a hundred or more dollars. By doing it yourself. As you remove old parts keep in mind how you did it and then you will remember how to install new parts and your done. The only hick up on this project which is no big deal. Was the length of wire that came with new terminal block. Several inches to long. It needs to be tucked up and or zip tied out of the way from the burner in the back of stove top.
