As the refrigerator ages, normal wear and tear may cause damage to the door guard. If the guard is damaged and unable to support the weight of products placed on the door shelf, it should be replaced. If it is not replaced, storage space inside the refrigerator will be reduced.To start, disconnect the power to the refrigerator. Open the refrigerator door and remove the door guard by pulling it out of the holes on either side that support it. Insert one end of the new guard in one hole.
