After first thinking I had a leak under my sink (dripping into my workshop in the basement), I quickly traced the source back to my Bosch dishwasher. My refrigerator is 13 yrs old and began to build up frost in the ice cube shoot and the water tube began to freeze up over night. The flapper door was not closing completely. I simply removed the control panel by pulling up and out on the bottom edge, the edge is only about 1/8 inch thick, so don't reach in to far. This was one of the easiest appliance repairs that I have ever done. I simply moved the refrigerator out of the cubby hole in which it resides, turned off the water supply at the wall, unplugged the electric cord, loosened the water supply line at the valve (had a water absorbent rag and small plastic bowl to catch what drained from the line), place it in the bowl and moved it aside. My frig is a year and a half old, Frigidaire with french doors and freezer drawer. It has an upper ice maker for the door in the frig and a bottom ice maker in the freezer drawer. After noticing the flood, I shut off the water supply to the frig and cleaned up the mess. I replaced the supply lines and mesh in-line filters. I made sure incoming water pressure was strong. I also cleared some debris from the internal drain filter down below. The F20 persisted. My plan was to start swapping out parts from the inlet on. I ordered the valve and got it in a day. I had an authorized Whirlpool service tech come to look at problem diagnosed problem as water inlet valve leaking ordered the part. After 11 days I was told part was on backorder from Whirlpool. I ordered the part from you and received the next day and I installed it in approximately 20 minutes. Read more

I figured it was the valve, but searching on the Appliance Parts site, somebody said they fixed it by replacing the switch flood assembly. So I order both parts. The Switch Flood Assembly was easiest to replace, so I decided to try that first. When I pulled out the old assembly, I noticed it did not 'rattle', as the new one did. Ordered new valve assembly, part arrived 2-3 days, installed part same day it arrived. Some difficulty getting to the two screws holding it in due to small area to work. Once that was figured out, reinstall went very smoothly, total time about one hour. Probably saved a couple of hundred if I had to hire a plumber to fix it, plus the parts. Very satisfied with the service. Read more

Replaced both inlet valves, no joy. Upon further inspection, found ice maker harness extremely tight at lower freezer door hinge, clamped in place right at a pivot point. Essentially the harness is held in place and rotates with the door. 6 wires broken inside. Splice repair and ice maker now works. Most likely will have to replace harness eventually. Unless there is more slack inside the freezer door this will probably happen again. Very poor design. Read more

Replaced the water inlet valve assembly. That reduced the leakage to a smaller amount but did not fully stop the leakage. Replaced the ice maker assembly and that completed the repair. No leakage issues and ice maker is working with no issues. Read more

Leak was slow but becoming gradually worse. Pulled dishwasher out from under counter then visually inspected sump while it ran. As soon as the water got very hot, I could see the sump leaking where it meets the stainless pan. Searched for the correct sump gasket without success. Turns out that the gasket is built into the sump for this model. The built-in gasket is very narrow (under-engineered IMHO which is probably why it developed a leak). I ordered a new pump on this website. They provided me with written directions as well as a video to follow along with on how to change the pump. As always it wasn't as easy as the video, but that was the mechanic no the tool! Great job on the service. Will order parts from here again. Read more

Recently my Kenmore dishwasher would start but would not fill with water. A quick test of the float switch reflected proper operation, AND voltage was being delivered TO the contact on the water inlet valve. I then removed power and checked for continuity on the contacts.
