John S Santee , CA May 21, 2019 Appliance: KitchenAid 5 Quart Stand Mixer KSM500OB0 Motor was fine, but the worm gear was stripped and not working to spin the mixer. Also the mixer had no accessories. I ordered the worm gear online with replacement Food Grade Grease and the mixer bowl, cap-hub, paddle, and dough hook. It took longer to disassemble the mixer than replacing the gear. Once all the old grease was cleaned out and new grease replaced; reassembly went very quick and smooth. They wanted $68 for the bowl and $9 for shipping that would have it to me in 1-2 weeks. I thought that pricing was a bit excessive so i shopped around and found the same bowl on appliancepartspros.com for less, the bowl and shipping was cheaper than the manufacturer.
