Whirlpool W10401215 Door Glass OEM Part

I had a productive chat with AppliancePartPros, who identified the part she thought we needed, and she was right. The door arrived within 3 or 4 days, but initially we were concerned the replacement job would be risky, and wanted to put it off. Then we looked at the new door and the job became less daunting. Your schematic was helpful, but not identical to our door assembly. The first step in removal of the old door was simple: remove 8 phillips head screws from obvious locations. Then pull off the cap that had concealed 3 more phillips screws. Door came off easily. We took the opportunity to disassemble the window "sandwich", cleaning each piece of glass before returning to position; also repositioned the insulation strip. Unscrewed door handle with torx wrench. Replaced everything in order. Simple and clean job, took about an hour because we wanted to clean the interior up.
