Description
This cycling thermostat (140°F) regulates dryer temperature by opening and closing to control heat cycles, helping maintain consistent drying and prevent overheating. Designed as a direct replacement for the original temperature control component. What it does:
- Opens at the specified temperature to interrupt the heating circuit and cycles the heater on/off
- Helps maintain consistent drum temperature for reliable drying performance
- Can prevent continuous heating that can cause overheating
- Common symptom: dryer heats erratically, runs but doesn't reach proper temperature, or overheats
