This is an original air cleaner cover designed to work with Briggs & Stratton engines installed on a wide range of yard equipment. The air cleaner cover sits on top of the air filter housing, which holds the air filter in place and helps ensure that clean air reaches the engine for combustion. The cover is designed to be removable to make replacing the air filter easier, while also preventing larger debris and water from entering the housing. The air cleaner cover is made from high-quality, durable plastic. However, over time and with exposure to high heat and UV rays, even the highest quality plastic can degrade and become brittle and break. It's also possible to damage the cover if it is hit against a hard surface or a heavy object. Replacing the air cleaner cover requires no tools and takes only seconds. Simply pull the tab on the side of the cover out to release it, then lift the cleaner cover off. Install the replacement cleaner cover by reversing those steps. Note that this is an OEM air cleaner cover and is sold individually. It fits multiple Briggs & Stratton engine models.
