Scott for Model Number WFL2060 UC/01 (FD 8201-) Washer made a noise for a week or so that we thought might be a coin or paper clip under the gasket. Wasn't a horrible noise and anyway we couldn't find anything in there. Now, the washer fills and drains but the drum won't turn. You can hear a slight clicking as though it's trying to start, but no other sounds. When the machine is empty, the drum turns freely by hand. Any ideas?
Answer Scott, With the drum not turning you will want to check the belt to make sure that the belt did not break. Check the door lock assembly to make sure that the lock assembly is not defective and if this checks ok then the you would need to check to see if the motor is getting power to it. If no power then either the motor control or the main control is the issue. If there is power then the issue will be the motor. Read More...
