John for Model Number WFMC640SUC/07 Hi There. Our washer has been giving a "Suds or Blocked Pump" error on a regular basis now. Had a repair person out a couple of times and they say using too much soap. Only way I can go less at this point is to use none! It runs fine for 3-5 loads, then will act up. Sometimes if I wait an hour or two, it will work, sometimes not and we'll have to drain the water out the bottom (a giant pain in the butt. I'm thinking of replacing the pump unit, but am wondering if its not a control issue? Ideas?
Answer John, It does Not sound like a control board issue. A drain pump motor, possible but try this first. remove power, remove the top panel and locate the water level switch. remove the assembly, disconnect the air tube from the switch and blow in the end of the tube. Reinstall and secure the parts. and run the washer a short cycle to see if it operates properly. If you haven't yet, you may want to wash out the washer Using a product such as "Affresh" W10549845 Washer Cleaner to remove any chemical deposits that may be sudsing during the cycle and causing the system to display the suds or "blocked pump" error.
