Chris Is it possible to convert a thermador range with 2 burners that have the low simmer control to regular burners without the simmer control? Apparently, they do not make the simmer control unit for those ranges any more ( part #497234, kit comes with blue simmer control board and 2 potentiometers) and even if you could find one it would cost over a thousand dollars to buy and no one will guarantee that it will work if you install it. I know this from personal experience finding one of these boards from a supposed reputable company in San Diego, paying over 1 thousand for a supposed new kit never been used that when installed, did not work. I can't believe that you cannot retrofit a 10 thousand dollar range so that all 4 burners will work.
Answer Chris, Unfortunately you would not be able to retrofit the unit to operate without the simmer control on the unit. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, February 12, 2019
