Answer Hello Richard, This is almost always a ducting issue. Think of it this way, on the automatic cycles, the moisture sensors are looking for moisture. If there is a ducting issue, the same moisture is recirculated over and over. This prevents the sensors from ever running without sensing the moisture. During the automatic cycle, when the sensors see no moisture is the only time the timer motor is provided with power to advance. A few things to check are the duct behind the unit for a crimp, the outside hood where the air is exhausted, and if flexible is used through the entire length, a low part of the duct will fill with water, blocking the air flow.
