Vivian for Model Number Thermador PCS366US Trying to overhaul a partially functional 6 burner cooktop. So far have done the following: - replaced simmer controller module and potentiometers - replaced spark module - replaced an ignition switch Now have 4 regular burners working. However, the 2 XLO burners do not work. Burners spark if one of the regular burners is turned on, but neither XLO burner will spark or flow gas if turned on. Strange thing - after the new controller module was replaced, the red light (signifying a burner is on) stays lit continuously. Only goes out when cord is unplugged. Any ideas what to try next? I'm thinking the controller might be defective. Thanks for your help!
Answer Vivian, You will want to check voltage to the simmer control to make sure that there is 120 vac getting to it. Double check all the wiring to and from the simmer control and to the potentiometers and gas valves. It sounds like you are loosing voltage. Read More...
