Chris for Model Number SHX55R55UC/64 I am replacing the thermistor/high temp limit sensor on my Bosch dishwasher due to non-heating issue. However, the thermistor measures fine, and the high temp limit does work, but seems to switch at a lower temp than I expected. Does anyone have the spec for this device (00165281)? Thanks.
Answer Chris, the hi-limit thermostat should open at a temperature of 185°F, close at 130°F, and the thermistor should read about 55K Ohms of resistance at room temperature. The heater 00480317 would need to be tested for resistance and it should measure 11 Ohms. The flow switch 00426400 attached to the heater should measure continuity when it is removed and manually activated. If these things test good and the wires are not broken or pinched, the failure would likely be in the main control module 00705665. Read More...
