Ralph for Model Number Thermador RDDS30V The front left burner has quit working. The igniter seems to be working, but the burner doesn't ignite like it's not getting (natural) gas. The other 3 burners all work fine. Thanks!
Answer Ralph, if the flame is not able to be lit with a match, the issue would likely either be with a clogged orifice that can be cleaned using a small safety pin, or there could be an issue with one of the gas flow parts. With the gas supply turned off, the solenoid valve 00411253 can be tested for voltage and should measure between 85 to 105VDC when the switch is turned on. If the voltage is there, the solenoid has failed and would need to be replaced. If the voltage is not there, the wiring would need to be inspected for any breaks. If there are no breaks, the simmer controller and potentiometer kit 00497235 would need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued this kit and it is no longer available.
