With the gas supply turned off, the solenoid valve 00411253 can be tested for voltage and should measure between 85 to 105VDC when the switch is turned on. If the voltage is there, the solenoid has failed and would need to be replaced. If the voltage is not there, the wiring would need to be inspected for any breaks. If there are no breaks, the simmer controller and potentiometer kit 00497235 would need to be replaced. Unfortunately, the manufacturer has discontinued this kit and it is no longer available.
