Paul H. for Model Number smu4052uc/09 I was given this dishwasher as being in working order. We installed it at my son-in-law's cottage after sitting in my garage for the winter. It doesn't fill with water. I removed the water valve, connected it to the water line and connected the electrical connections to the solenoid, and placed it in a dishpan. Very little water goes thru the valve with neither outlet hoses connected. I suspect the valve, but hate to buy a valve and then find some other reason it doesn't fill with water. Is the water inlet valve (ap2802210) likely to cause this problem?
Answer Hello Paul. You will need to test and see if there is power going to the water valve 00092188. If so, you will need to replace the water valve assembly. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. Hope this helps. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
