Manufacturer Part Number: 134515300

The Door Boot Seal is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. It is a flexible gasket that forms a seal between the washing machine door and the drum, preventing water from leaking during the wash cycle.

Causes of a bad door boot seal can include wear and tear over time, mold or mildew buildup, or physical damage from sharp objects or improper loading of the washer. Exposure to harsh cleaning chemicals can also degrade the seal, leading to leaks.

Symptoms of a bad door boot seal include:

  • Water leaking from the front of the washing machine
  • Visible tears or cracks in the seal
  • Mold or mildew buildup on the seal
  • A musty odor coming from the washing machine

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Anthony, Check the door strike on the inner door panel. Make sure the strike make sure it's not loose, bent, damaged etc. Check the door latch, make sure it isn't loose and it's properly aligned in the front panel. Recheck the boot seal installation, make sure the boot isn't twisted or kinked and the tabs are properly aligned and seated on the outer tub cover, and the seal around the front panel opening is seated properly, and the tension spring is located in the 4 or 5 o'clock position on the front panel. Occasionally, the new boot seal can create a little extra tension on the door and latch opening, you may need to press in on the door slightly, in order for the latch to operate and lock properly, until the extra tension is relieved and the latch operates properly.
