Bert for Model Number FPEC3085KSA Hi I have a frigidaire cook top. the big element in the front is ok and I suspect the relay to be a problem. sometime when I turn the knob back and forwards I here clicking and the whole element turns on. after it works with one heating wire. Is there a way to narrow this problem before I buy the relay board. thanks, bert
Answer Hello Bert. You can test for power from the relay board to the element with the knob turned on. If the knob closes the contracts and the board does not send power to the element, you will need to replace the relay board in the unit. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
