Davis for Model Number GSS25TSTSS The dispenser control board on the door of my GE fridge is blank, Not working. Reset control board by turning the fridge breaker off for 30 sec. the board came back on, but when I went to get water the water dispenser was not working. Tried to change the board to ice, control board flashed once or twice an went blank. Tried again to reset it, nothing happened. How can I test It to know if the control board is bad or if it is something else?
Answer Hello Davis. On the J4-2 wire of the main board, you should have an output of 13 VDC going to the dispenser board. If not, then the main board is bad. If it is there, and the wiring is good, then the communication between the 2 board on J4-4 And J4-5 will need to be checked. J4-3 is the board DC common ground for testing. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
