Megan for Model Number FPHS2687KF4 Our fridge is freezing food, so we replaced the thermistor with no change. Next we replaced the defrost thermostat with no change. We decided to replace the main control board and now the unit will not turn on. This is the 2nd board as we thought the first was defective. All the connections are fine as the old board still works. Thoughts?
Answer Megan, This issue may not be with the control board but may be a faulty damper that is not closing off. The part number for the damper would be 241853801. It would be recommended to put the original board back in and using the tech sheet put the unit into a diagnostic mode and test the damper assembly.
