James for Model Number FFHS2622MBE Our fridge will not go below 58°. The freezer is working as should except it accumulating too much frost. How should we fix this problem?
Answer James, The first thing that you will want to check would be to pull out your crisper drawers and there should be a opening behind them. This is the return air duct and you will want to make sure that there is nothing blocking this hole. If this checks ok then you will want to check the damper as this would be the most likely cause for the unit to not get cold enough on refrigerator side and for the freezer to be getting lots of frost throughout it. If the frost is mainly on the back wall then there could be a defrost issue in which you would want to test the defrost heater and the defrost thermostat to ensure that they are have continuity. If they do not have continuity then they are bad and would need to be replaced. If they do have continuity then the defrost control would be the cause of the unit not cooling properly. Read More...
