Guest for Model Number Kenmore Water Filtration Cartridge 469911 The bypass Filter AP4499610 (if this is correct) should replace the cartridge. I assume these do not have to be replaced at intervals unless there is a problem of leakage. I am wondering if I should order two of them. Any additional information will help.

A bypass plug or bypass sytem is needed in some refrigerators, when you wish to disable the water filter system, and still have water supplied to the dispenser, with unfilterred water.
