Nelson for Model Number PLCS389DCB I have a Frigidaire gas top/electric oven. When I push CLEAN and START for a self clean cycle the door lock will not engage (no noise at all). When I open the oven door there is a buzzing noise coming from the control board. Is there a way to test the locking motor from the front (which 2 wires) or may be it is a defective control board? Answer Nelson, if you check on the control board connector P5 from pin 6 which is a Gray wire to pin number 4 which is common and with the unit set to self clean, check to see if there is 120 vac to the lock assembly. If there is not then the control board would be the issue which it sounds like it would be the issue with the buzzing noise coming from the board. Read More...
