Tom for Model Number ffu20f3aw1 I installed a new compresser, evaporator coil, heat exchange assembly, and filter dryer. After checking for leaks and vacuum tested good, I tried charging the system but no freon is going into the evaporator coil. The filter dryer frosts back and forth. No cold to unit. There is freon inside the system.
Answer Hello Tom, Sounds like you have a stopped up line. If you used solder flux, you may have used too much. If not, you may have heated a line for too long. A vacuum can still be drawn and depending where the stopped up line is, the freon can still be installed. If a line is stopped up, the freon that's in the system cannot circulate so there will be no cooling effect. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Tuesday, June 26, 2012
