Mg for Model Number 253.51232100 Keause freezer isn't cold enough. sxs253.51232100 serialr#la12004632 evaporator fan will not run,voltmeter says 62 volts to fan,disconnect fan leads, put 110 volts to fan fan operates.Disconnected fan won't in refrigeration mode.checked thermostats both are closed.Refrigerator side has 3 wire temp control and next to it is freezer control.Compressor runs,condenser fan runs,all lights work.Dispenser on door all works.Ice maker doesn't work,but I am assuming because the freezer isn't cold enough.Do have 120 volts to defrost heater thru bi metal.This has a mechanical control(defrost)
Answer MG, You will want to check for power coming off the defrost control to the fan motor which should be a red/white wire to the light blue.
