Mike for Model Number PLHS238ZCB1

Hello there. My freezer is keeping food frozen. I recently replaced my control box with part # ap5176342 because the refrig side was too warm. After replacing part, now food in refrigerator is frozen. I also cannot get any fresh water to come out from the fresh water/ice cube control on the front of the refrig/freezer. It seems like the control unit being replaced has helped, but I dont know what to do now. Evaporator has no ice on the coils; I cleaned the fan and the coils located in the back of the refrigerator. What else should I check? Thank you all.

Answer

Hi Mike. Is the damper open all the way instead of mid way? Are the electrical instructions all pluged in correctly? The water tank behind the crisper drawer can be frozen not allowing the water to flow. Remove the tank or the coils and thaw out under the sink warm water. Did you follow all instructions provided? Did you have to repro0gram the new controls the code on the model # name plate inside the refrigerator? Some models need the code reprogrammed correctly. The freezer should only be as cold as 0- degrees -no -colder. The fresh food temps need to be @ 37-47 degrees depending on your request. Check your return air vent behind the drawers in the fresh food section to make sure it allows circulation in a clockwise manner. If we can help further, let us know. Thank you.
