Mcjunk for Model Number FRS26HF7BW0 I've been having issues with freeze-up because the damper has been staying open. Occassionally, I could remove the knob from the refrig temp control and tap on the control and the damper would operate. As of now, everything will work fine for weeks at a time, and then go through another spell of freezing up the refrigerator, and often the ice maker water line. I assume part #AP5176342 will solve my dilemna, but it appears that all I need is the refrig temp control (based on the tapping "repair"). But it appears that that control is $151, whereas the entire control box including that control is $179. Does my "troubleshooting" sound accurate, and why is the one temp control priced almost as much as the entire control box?
