Jeff for Model Number Frigidaire model Frs26lr5cwo My evaporator fan motor was having trouble starting up. It would cycle on and off and eventually run continuously like it was supposed to! It was keeping the frigerator side cold.and the freezer was freezing right. I changed the motor and it kept doing the same thing. When it would do this there was a clicking noise coming from where the adaptive defrost control box was located so I changed it out and put the new wiring harness like the instructions said. Now the freezer is freezing fine ice maker is making ice but the new control box is clicking worse. The evaporator fan motor is running better but now the damper is opening and closing frequently but it appears that I am getting less cold air to the frigerator side. Could a bad damper cause the box to click like that and cause these issues! Possibly need new damper assembly?
Answer Jeff, a bad damper can certainly cause the issues described. From the information provided, it sounds like there is a stripped gear in the damper motor 241600902. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Monday, August 5, 2019
