Kevin M. for Model Number FWFB9200ES0 I need to purchase this control panel to replace old one. Looks pretty easy to replace based on the diagram. Does the main control knob (part #AP3844284)just pull off? I am hesitant to force it, but would like to purchase and replace this panel myself. Thanks for any input.
Answer Hi Kevin. The console is part # 134442700. The top back 3- screws need removed. Then you can slide back and up to release the top. Then you will see any screws needed to be removed at the back of the control panel areas. Then you unplug the electrical connectors. Make note of all connections for ease of reinstalling. Then familiarize yourself with the surrounding back clasp that a flat blade screwdriver will release. The knob may or may not pull out from the front. Some models show the shaft assy. being built into the electronic user interface control. Remove the dispenser drawer and remove the front screws there also. Be extremely careful when you separate the user interface because of a bunch of springs, and light transfer tubes will fall out along with the push buttons. But it sounds worse then it actually is.
