Melinda for Model Number PLEF398ACB The relay board, 316239403KITK, ware replaced about 5 years ago as a recall repair. As I understand it, the way the oven vents causes moisture and heat to short out the board. As a part of the repair the tech applied a piece of aluminum tape that was supposed to prevent this from happening again. Now the left front burner doesn't heat at all though the display indicates it's working. Sometimes all the burners will flash f7 when you are using more than one. Sometimes the digital display for a burner will not settle on setting - for example you try to set it to 7.0 and the numbers keep changing and the burner never really heats. I've ruled out the switches as the problem (swapped the no-heat one with the one from the other side and both behaved the same as before the swap). Does it sound like the relay board has failed again? It's an expensive part, so I'm not inclined to replace it without some confidence that this will solve my problem.
Answer Melinda, Based on the issue that you are having with the numbers changing and the one element not working, This issue would most likely be caused by the relay control board. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, June 3, 2015
