Doug for Model Number PLEF398CCD Can one repair a disrupted coil on a burner? My left rear burner went out last night, and I could see through the glass top where the coil burned hot and bright until it fizzled out, effectively killing the entire coil. I lifted the hood (the glass top), and could easily see the precise spot where the coil was damaged. Just wondering if there's any way to repair the damaged spot and bring the coil back to life. This isn't a single-burner replacement, or I'd just do that. My left side burners (w/bridge) are all one-piece, which at last check ran about 500.00. Is there a simple fix? A way to affect a tiny bridge to restore the disrupted current to the coil?
Answer Doug, There is no way to repair the damaged coil and you would need to replace the element for this. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, February 18, 2021
