Alan for Model Number 417-81122310 When I push start it runs for about 3 seconds then stops and shows pau on screen. It shows e8c error code that I cant clear. Vents are clear. In test mode motor runs without stopping. What do you suggest?
Answer Alan, This E8C Error means that the safety thermostat (High Limit) has tripped too many times within a certain period of program time. Check for blocked lint filter, blocked exhaust, air leaks around air duct, broken blower fan blades, worn or loose drum seals, dryer installed in closet with solid doors or door seal not correctly seated.
