Claude for Model Number FFHS2622MSB Hi, refrig not cooling below 63, while freezer at 12 degrees. Cleaned coils, no avail. Compressor on with evap fan blowing. When freezer door is open, cold air flows smoothly thru damper into refrig side. When Freezer door closes, flow slows to dribble, if at all. What could be causing this? Does damper open fully (silently) when freezer door opens? One would think Damper would be open when door is closed, not open. Could this be thermostat issue?
Answer Claude, The first thing to check will be the evaporator coils in the rear of the freezer compartment and check for impacted coils with ice. If this is the case then it will be a defrost issue and you will want to test the defrost heater and defrost thermostat for continuity. If they are both good then the control board would be the issue. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Thursday, August 26, 2021
