Jim for Model Number MRT18FNEW2 Water is dripping from the corners of the lower part of the seal on the freezer door, at the handle end and at the hinge end. The drip is where to seal joins the door, not on the freezer side of the seal (cabinet). The icemaker stopped working 3 days ago. Also, items put in the freezer then did not freeze and frozen goods began to thaw. The drip was noticed yesterday afternoon. I checked the water supply valve and the mesh filter is clear. The freezer is on top with the refrigerator below it. The refrigerator is working fine. I tested the freezer door seal with a sheet of paper and the seal is good against the cabinet. Any ideas on the problem?
Answer Jim, are you sure the freezer door was closed completely ? could be that there was something blocked and keeping the door slightly open ? Did you notice any heavy frost or ice on the back wall of the freezer or the freezer floor, You could have a clogged defrost drain system, but you should have other cooling complaints, you didn't mention.
