Karen W for Model Number FPHG2399MF3 I've changed the water inlet valve and the filter housing. Checked the tubes. Water is not going into the filter area to continue to the ice maker. The fridge is from 2010 and does not have the DIODE to replace. I have checked all the tubes. The ice maker is in the bottom freezer area. No water JUST ice maker. Suggestions?
Answer Karen, the freezer temperature would need to be checked with a thermometer to ensure it is actually below 10°F. If it is, the next step would be rotating the ice maker rake to the 1 o'clock position to manually start a harvest. This will allow the water valve to be tested for 120VAC at the end of the harvest cycle. If the valve does not get voltage, the ice maker 5303918493 would be the most likely cause of failure.
