Steve for Model Number 316224201 I removed the burner (Big eye) from my glass top stove because it blow out. I can see the burn mark where it broke apart. I kept my old burners from my last glass top stove and was wondering if I can use one of the burners from my old stove. The piece (Don't no name)that is sticking out of the burner has two smaller ends that you plug the wires in from the stove. My old one has two bigger ends which two of the wires from the stove want fit in. If I change the wires to bigger end to fit my old burner, will it cause damage or will it heat up?
Answer Hello Steve. No, you will need to order the correct element needed for the glass top and not the old one that is different. Most elements are different sizes and watts and will not interchange unless the model numbers of the ranges were the same. Hope this helps. Read More...
