Hello Jane. You will need to disconnect the power and remove the screws under the bottom front lip of the cooktop. Then lift the cook top to access the elements in the unit. Before removing the old element. Unplug the wires, one by one, and place them onto the new element in the same location. Remove the old element and install the new element into the unit.
