Tracy, There is a slight possibilty you may need the element 316216701, but theissue is more likely in the user interface 316271801 or the relay board 316272402 (on the back of the range). If you can get access to a multi meter, you can check for voltage to the small element at the relay board. If you select the small burner and you have voltage out of the relay, you'll need the element, if you don't have the voltage, you'll need to check the relay board for damage, and loose wiring. if no apparent issues are found, you'll need the user interface 316271801 (in the control panel) .
