Bob for Model Number kenmore 790.99129409 I have a kenmore glasstop range with a non working element. The element has the inner, middle, and outer element all in one. The inner element has recently stopped working but the others still function. The model range I have is all electronic with touch buttons and no knobs. I can hear the clicking on/off when inner is selected. Just wondering if I just need to replace element? Thanks for your help.
Answer Hello Bob. Test for power from the switch to the element. If there is power there, and the element does not work, you will need to replace the element. You can test this with a multi-meter TJMA-DMT3. Here is a link on how to use a multi-meter. http://forum.appliancepartspros.com/oven-repair-including-ranges-cooktops/4810-how-check-continuity-ohmmeter.html Read More...
