Sean for Model Number FTF2140ES0 Last week I replaced the shocks, belt, door handle and door boot seal clamp with your parts. While in there I decided to clean out the drain hose boot of mostly loose chance. Inside I found what looked like a "flat foam filter covered with cloth". I thought it must a filter for the pump. Just today the pump quit working so I removed the boot to pump again and found the "flat foam filter covered with cloth" had sucked into the pump, thereby clogging it. So my question is, what kind of a filter is there for the pump? I don't see anything else that is a filter? Also, I see the new shock has oil coming out of it now. Is that normal or did I get a bad shock? Thanks!
Answer Sean, The only thing that would look like a round flap would be the check valve which would go on the side of the drain pump where the drain hose comes off. As for the shock having a little bit of oil coming out would not be a bad shock and is normal for a little to come out. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Wednesday, October 15, 2014
