The Tub to Pump Hose is an OEM part for Frigidaire washing machines. This part directs water from the tub to the pump during the wash cycle. This flexible hose plays a role in the machine's ability to drain water efficiently after each wash or rinse cycle, ensuring optimal performance.

Causes for replacement might include wear and tear over time that leads to cracks or holes in the hose, blockages that prevent water from draining properly, or improper installation that results in leaks or water retention.

Symptoms of a bad Tub to Pump Hose include:

  • Leaks found underneath the washing machine
  • Problems with the washing machine draining properly
  • Puddles of water appearing during or after a wash cycle

This OEM replacement is also compatible with Electrolux, Gibson, Kelvinator, and Kenmore models.

Questions & Answers

For Frigidaire Tub To Pump Hose (Part Number: OEM11511975)

1 Answer

Donna, We do not have diagrams of the pumps internal parts. The manufacturer does not put out information like this. If the unit is draining but not spinning the clothes dry enough then this would most likely not be a drain pump issue. If the unit is not draining at all then test for 120 vac to the drain pump. If there is power to it but still not draining then would require a new pump.

What is the easiest access to replace drain hose AP3837322? Front or Back? It seems the screw on the top(tub) hose clamp is facing the front of the machine would be very hard to get replaced correctly. The Filter inside the drain hose seems to be plugged as the holes are all filled up or is there some type of filter material inside the filter that has to be ordered separately? The picture of the filter shows it all holes open. Is taking off the whole hose from the tub the only way to get the filter out? Would that filter being plugged cause an E20 error and a noise from the pump? Do I also need to replace the drain pump? Sorry a lot of questions, just trying to get this going quickly. Thank you Tom

Tom, If the filter that is in the drain pump is clogged then you would just need to pull the filter out and clean it. It sounds like something may be in the pump causing the noise and in the drain filter. There is no mesh filters or anything on the unit.

Last week I replaced the shocks, belt, door handle and door boot seal clamp with your parts. While in there I decided to clean out the drain hose boot of mostly loose chance. Inside I found what looked like a "flat foam filter covered with cloth". I thought it must a filter for the pump. Just today the pump quit working so I removed the boot to pump again and found the "flat foam filter covered with cloth" had sucked into the pump, thereby clogging it. So my question is, what kind of a filter is there for the pump? I don't see anything else that is a filter? Also, I see the new shock has oil coming out of it now. Is that normal or did I get a bad shock? Thanks!

1 Answer

Sean, The only thing that would look like a round flap would be the check valve which would go on the side of the drain pump where the drain hose comes off. As for the shock having a little bit of oil coming out would not be a bad shock and is normal for a little to come out.

Tub was not draining, pump was working so I went for this part #40 (the black drain hose connected to the pump). I cleaned out the $5 + change and gunk clogging up the basket, replaced hose to pump and right air inlet, finally the larger clamp to the outer drum. I can't seem to get the given clamp to hold this part of the hose on sufficiently. When I restart the washer, in less than 3 minutes water pours out of the top of the hose. There is very little lip on the hose and even less of a surface to wrap the hose over and follow with the clamp. Is there any tricks to making a good seal on this end of the hose? Thanks

1 Answer

Hello Jill, The only trick I have found to this is patience and an inspection mirror. If you are able to work at it slowly and get the clamp in the correct position, it will work just fine.

Hello Ivo, First off, I would go through the front. This way the unit doesn't have to be moved at all, but can remain in it's original position. This will also allow you to see into the pump opening where foreign objects commonly pose problems. Unplug the unit or turn off the breaker. Put a few towels around the pump area as you will lose some water during this process. There is a clamp on each of the three openings. Remove the three clamps and remove the hose. If the "ball" isn't included with the new part, you will need to remove it from the old part and install it into the new one. Of course the reassembly is in the reverse order of the disassembly.

OK thanks-I guess my last question is how do I know if the pump is working or not? The guy never checked that. He came out, saw the leak, and said it was the pump without ever testing it. Then the other guy comes out to replace the pump and finds out this hose cut. I think I should ask them to try the hose first. The pump is sitting at my house but I haven't paid for it and I haven't dealt with these people before and never will again but I am already in for the labor. Is it just better to have the pump installed and move on? Thank you in the future I am going to order my parts from here and find a handyman to install them, and maybe even try it myself! I really appreciate it!

1 Answer

Hello Beth. You can ask them to check the pump after the hose 134455900 is installed and see if it works properly. If so, no need for the pump. If the pump does not work, then they can go ahead and install it since it is already there. Either way, you would know for sure if you need it replaced or not. Hope this helps.

I was told I needed a new pump since the washer leaks but when they came to replace the pump after ordering it they then discovered the rubber boot I think he called it had holes in it so I am waiting for them to come back. The culprit was also found my the second repairman since he actually took the pump off to find the leak and somewhere in there were two underwires froms bras! Very common he told me. He told me the pump was cracked-when I looked at it it looked fine to me-then he told me something was damaged inside it-as far as I can tell without pulling it apart it looks fine. It it possible the first guy misdiagnosed the problem and the pump is fine? The machine drained perfectly-I don't have much faith in these people and don't want to pay the $125 I am being charged for a pump if I don't need one.

Hi! There is a panel on the back of the washer you remove to do this repair. Thanks!
