Ed for Model Number FFHS2611PF7 I just replaced the icemaker 241798231 per the video. There was no immediate demand for water to fill the ice tray. Before replacing the icemaker: 1. water flows from cold water dispenser 2. old icemaker had no water even at proper freezer temperature 3. no obstructions in water tube from vale to ice cup in old icemaker 4. electric meter indicated no voltage on green solenoid connection at water valve behind/under freezer I replaced the icemaker and the new icemaker per video on this website and made a solid wiring harness connection. I raised, then lowered the on/off lever. There was still no water supplied to the icemaker. Question: Does the new ice maker require a time/temperature cycle before the first water supply will occur, or do I have a different problem? If there is a time cycle, how long until the initial water supply should occur (once at temperature)? I noticed prior answers stated 24 hours for a bin of ice, but my concern is that I do not yet have *any* water supplied to the icemaker. Thank you for great videos and Q&A. Thank you for your help with my question.
Answer Ed, it can take an ice maker up to an hour to cool down to temperature and enter into a harvest mode where it will then call for water. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, December 29, 2023
