Paul for Model Number FPBS2777RF6 The ice maker (243297609) was not making ice. I replaced the ice maker and it's still not making ice. I also replaced the water regulator valve. The arm is in the up position. Any suggestions?
Answer Paul, We are sending you a tech sheet where you can test all parts of your ice maker. My assumption is the fan behind the ice maker is frozen up and not circulating air. This would prevent the ice maker from cycling. In the center section of the first page follow the instructions to activate the fresh food ice maker diagnostic guide. The main concern is the fan and keep in mind if you try and fill the ice maker with ice in the mold it will overflow so initiate the twist tray first to dump any ice. Remove the ice bucket and keep the door open so you can see and hear better what's going on in there.
