Sue for Model Number FGF316DSE My oven takes a long time for the burner to come on, sometime up to a half hour or longer, then when it finally comes on and gets up to the temperature I set it at, it will cool down and not relight, taking an inordinate amount of time to bake something. The igniter does not seem to be getting hot enough, is this the problem? Don't want to buy a new ignitor for 90.00 and find out there is something else wrong.
Answer Hello Sue. Based on the information you provided, it sounds like the igniter 5304509706 is weak and will need to be replaced. If the igniter is glowing, but not hot enough to ignite the gas, it can cause the problems your having. Hope this helps. Read More... Answered by AppliancePartsPros.com | Friday, June 24, 2011
