Jeff H for Model Number E23BC78ISS7 The two temperature LED display readings have faulty segments and I am not sure if they are displaying the right frig and freezer temps. My icemaker stop producing ice and my refrigerator section is not getting cold (50F)and shows a high temp warning. Freezer and custom temp drawer seem to be OK (15F and 35F) as monitored by external thermometer. I expect I have a control board problem that controls the refrigerator damper and LEDs. I understand that if the refrig temp is off the icemaker stops producing ice (ice tray not getting water). Do I need a new control board?
Answer Jeff, You will want to check to make sure that there is not a defrost problem because the freezer temp should be at 0 degrees plus or minus 5 and since the refrigerator section is only getting to 50. If this is not the issue then you will want to test the temp sensors in the unit. If this checks ok then the control would be the issue. Read More...
